Ghanas Asamoah Gyan Set for a Third World Cup

Captain Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari preparing for their third finals and Jonathan Mensah, Michael Essien, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew and Kevin-Prince Boateng are the only experienced names included in Ghanas 23-man squad for the World Cup.
Coach Kwesi Appiah named 16 players competing in their first World Cup in Brazil on releasing his squad list for the nations 3rd appearance on the biggest football stage.
Eskisehirspor defender Jerry Akaminko, Leicester Citys Jeffrey Schlupp and David Accam, who plays for Helsingborg are among the players excluded from the countrys squad- slimmed from 26 to 23.
